Breakfast- whole grain waffle w/ peanut butter and banana on it Snack- almonds(raw about 15) Lunch- whole grain bread, 3 slices of turkey, 1 slice swiss, and lettuce, and mustard with a south beach bar Dinner- Whole wheat tortilla w/ pinto beans and a sprinkle of cheese i want to maintain my weight i work out every other day 50-60 minutes of intense cardio in between days i do crunches and sit ups, stomach things.

Open Question: How do I slim down by March?
I am a tween and I way 171 lb and 5'5. I just went to the doctor and they said it was okay since I am still growing and have not have my period yet. My Bat Mitzvah is in March and I really want to slim down a bunch. I have tried everything, I have even been to Camp La Jolla ( a weight loss camp) I lost twenty pounds there but have gained it back plus more. I also want to wear a bikini this summer and I probably want but that is my goal. I have done weight watchers, south beach diet, I have worked out constantly and I eat organic food. What should I do to get down to around 120-130 lb. I no its drastic but i need to lose weight. Please dont say surgery because obviously cannot do that. Please I need Help. My parents have done so much and tried to help but I just need help more. thanks

kk so im confused if i want to loose 20 pounds on the south beach diet how can i make a schedule if i can only do it for 3 weeks or am i wrong or do we stay on phase 1 and 2 until you hit you ideal weight or do u do it for 3 weeks then do it again for 3 weeks?

Open Question: Holiday weight..yuck...help. Any weight-loss success stories you could share?
As I sit here on my lap top..watching tv..and chomping on a slim jim feeling as bloated as can be...I've come to realize the holiday foods, sweets, and cravings have gotten the best of me. There is no doubt in my mind that I have gained 10 pounds and to be honest it is pure laziness and boredom..which causes me to eat. I'm not a fat girl...I know thats what all heavy-set people say but really I am not. I would love to lose the 10 pounds I've gained though. I know the logical way is to exercise and eat healthy. Well lately I've been super busy with work and school and college registration stuff I just haven't had much time to worry about it. But it's a new year and I want to crack down. NOW that I've told you all my life story, my question is...what are ways that I could lose some poundage? Please spare me the obvious eat healthy and exercise...yes I KNOW this is the best method and I plan to exercise more and eat healthier however, I am looking for suggestions. What was the fastest way for you to lose weight? What did you eat? Ever tried Atkins or South Beach? Ever try any fad diet? What is your best success story? I just want some insight and helpful advice that is a little more than just the common sense. Thanks =) and happy new year!

I just started the SBD and I'm exhausted. I heard that the diet was not good for some blood types. Does anyone know anything about this? I'm going to stick with it b/c I just spent $200 on food, but was just curious if I should stick with it for the rest of the phases.

I know steak or cheese isn't great on a diet, but I've only had a little. It seems like too much to me. Is it? Sorry...I'm 17 female, 5 foot 8, and 140 pounds. I want to lose ten pounds.

I'm asking about South Beach Diet. I've noticed that I can only have grains sparingly like I would with candy or anything else. I've also noticed that if I want to maintain my weight I need to stick by the sparingly portion on grains. Is this a good eating style for my body if that's what it takes to maintain my weight? I have lost 4 lbs in 4 days (yippee!) but I want to make sure I am doing this right. I can't afford to buy the book so I have been doing it on bits and pieces I can gather up from others. Some of these things I am mixing together to make my own recipes.... but this is basically what I have been eating or plan on eating for the next 10 days: Eggs Canadian Bacon Lettuce Tomatoes Cucumbers Green Peppers Celery Spinach Fat free or reduced fat cheeses fat free cream cheese (on the celery - yum!) fat free sour cream skim milk olives clausen pickles (the ones that have to stay in the fridge) natural peanut butter (just peanuts and salt in it) lean ground beef very little bit of mixed nuts mayo pork tenderloin onions Also, any other ideas??? I have just started the South Beach Diet and am on phase one. I am struggling to find breakfast recipes that do not contain eggs in some form. I don't want to be eating omelettes, frittatas, scrambled, boiled, fried eggs etc every day. I am not sure what it is going to take for me but I have no motivation to eat rite or exercise. I hate my weight. It has caused me depression and causes me not to love myself. I always say that I am going to start on Monday and then when Monday comes I do good for Monday and then Tuesday I am back to my old ways. I always feel really light headed and weak the first week that I try to eat less. Is that normal? I have done weight watchers, atkins, south beach, acupuncture and even my own diets and I do good for a while and then fall off the diet. I have even lately thought about weight loss surgery but I am terrified. I am a very pretty girl and I am only 4'10 so the weight makes me look very large. I am not bad built or anything but I want to loose 50 or more lbs. BUT I have no MOTIVATION! I say what I am going to do and I never do! Any advice? Be nice or don't say nothing!

Probably along with 90% of America, my new years resolution will be to lose weight. Currently I only want to lose 10lbs. I am 5'7" and 140lbs but want to go down to 130lbs which is where I was for almost 5 years. The reason I put on the ten pounds as of recently was that I went from a job that had me running around all day to one where I sit at a desk for 9 hours. Now I can't kick the urge to eat sweets and carbs all day. Would south beach be the best bet to help get off those extra pounds and help me not crave the sweets anymore? I do have an issue with high cholesterol also and heard this diet works great for that also.

so after lunch im going to run 5 miles, 200 crunches, leg lifts, and some pilates toning videos. and I eat at 11 am. so I was thinking to have one south beach diet veggie and chicken pizza, one pear, one small apple, and a granola bar before my run. This will equal 610 calories. but the pizza is 330 cals, 10 grams of fat, and 650 mg sodium. It has a lot of fiber and 30 grams of protein though. but is that fat count too high? I also have kashi meal of 240 cal and 5 grams fat. Id have that with a whole wheat wrap, one pear, one small apple, and a granola bar before I run. that would equal 610 calories as well. It has like 16 grams protein. What should I have? What is healthiest and will provide me with the most energy for my run? I could just have a lean turkey wrap, organic pretzels, fruits, and granola bar but ive been having that almost every day for lunch. and I feel bad that my mom has those in the fridge. so honestly which one is best to eat and WHY? thanks im 17, 5'5'', and 110 lbs. please offer insight
