Resolved Question: I need help I'm in a diet rut....?
I've been on Weight Watchers, on and off for a little over a year. I've lost 58 lbs and have about 20 more to go, but since the Christmas holiday and New Years, I've gained 6 lbs back. I feel like I'm in a diet rut, I just don't feel motivated like I did in the beginning and I'm so afraid I'll gain all the weight back. I've thought about trying Slim Quick or Alli to jump start my weight loss and help me get motivated. (I lost the 58lbs on my own without any diet aids), but I'm not sure if those are a good way to go. Can anyone give me some motivation or tell me how they've made it through this? I REALLY want to get down to my goal weight. Should I try Slim Quick or Alli? Thanks in advance for any help and please only serious answers.

Open Question: Alli and other weight loss methods?
I visited my physician and he recommended Alli. He said it was lower cost and just as effective as others he could prescribe. Problem is I've read that there are bowel side effects. What other options I can talk to my doctor about, that are safe, effective and don't unexpectedly put me on the toilet (hopefully it happens on the toilet).

Open Question: does alli work for weight loss?

Voting Question: What is the best OTC weight loss drug?
I have tried Alli, but the....uhh...side effects were uncompromisable. All of them state you can lose 50lbs in 7 hours by taking it and I want to know which ones ACTUALLY work.... Take into consideration...I am a dude and dont need the ones with estrogen included! :) Thanks all, happy new year

Voting Question: Is "alli", the weight loss drug, a good way to loose weight?
the reason why i'm asking is that i want to loose weight sort of quick. I have an eating regiment and a work out planed, but i feel that if i use alli it will speed the process along a little bit. I read on webmd that alli is the only over the counter drug that you should be taking if you choose to use one. Just wondering what people think of the idea...

Resolved Question: Would you reccomend Alli (weight loss pill) to and 18 year old?
I just want to know if anyone has had any experience with this product and if so did it work? What were your side effects? (Diet Pill)

Voting Question: What Do U Know About Alli?
I'm dieting for my 2009 resolution. I've done a lot of research and have found that Alli is the only FDA approved dieting plan. I can't seem to find anything that would make me consider not trying this diet but I figured I'd ask in Yahoo! Answers as a decision maker in buying this product. I'm looking for any kind of comments you may have experienced or heard of with Alli both positive and negative. Also, know something that's safer and more effective for long-term weight loss? Let me know!! I am also taking Mirena. Know anything about the combination? Does it matter? Thanks much!!

Resolved Question: does alli weight loss pills work? What are the side effects? What about OROVO DETOX?

Resolved Question: Has anyone used Alli for weight loss? Does it work?

Resolved Question: Hi, Can anyone tell me more about alli weight loss? Is is effective?
Is there anything I should know before buying it? Any person experiences? Any risks? Thanks

Voting Question: Does anyone know of a dietitary pill for younger people?
How old do you have to be to use dietarty pills like alli and akavar? Or does anyone know of any weight loss pills that a 18 year and under could take please post!

Resolved Question: Anyone tried Alli pill with great results?
For my new years resolution I want to lose about 70-80lbs by Nov. for a cruise to Jamaica. I have been researching Alli and I know all about the treatment effects. I would like to know if anyone has used it to help with their weight loss and had good results from it. Thank you in advance!

Resolved Question: Would anyone actually recommend the Alli weight loss pills?
I have never tried any weight loss pills, always heard they were all just BS anyway. I recently suffered a knee injury that prevents me from doing most exercises that involved standing. My wedding is in about 5 months and I would love to lose about 15lbs, that would make me a 'healthy weight', but I mostly just really don't want to put on more weight. Even though my activity level has dropped I still end up eating the same amount I have been. I was thinking that these pills might be perfect for me, if they actually do anything. So does anyone actually recommend them? If not another suggestion would be appreciated. I have tired eating less since I am less active but I just feel starving, which is no good. I do not think I explained my situation very well. I already eat pretty healthy. My injury is preventing me from exercising, that is my main issue here.

Voting Question: Does Alli weight loss product really work?

Resolved Question: What is the best medication for weight loss?
I tried alli and didn't care for it. What are other medications that are being used that have good results. I do really well with low carb dieting, but it seems to me that I have insulin resistance and by the evening when I eat little meals, my blood sugar gets too high and I get crazy for food. Any medications that are for weight loss that would be good to lower blood sugars maybe? I'm not diabetic, but I do believe blood sugar is some how a cause for me. I do have slow gastric emptying and have had a weight loss surgery reversed and a subtotal colectomy just as added info. While those are great tips. I already do exercise and eat healthy foods. I would like to know what medications are available.

Resolved Question: How to further expedite my weight loss, what else can I do?
I'm 24 years old, 5'8" and currently 166 lbs. I have lost 10 lbs in the last 6 weeks steadily (about 1-2 lbs a week). I have been creating a calorie deficit by eating less (around under 1000 cal/day) and exercising a LOT more (1 hour combo of power-walking and running at least 4-5 times a week) . I cut out sugars, sodium, eating late at night and have been eating more veggies, whole wheat and protein. I'm also taking Alli as a weight loss supplement. My goal weight is around 120-125 lbs. Is there anything else I can do to speed this up? I know I probably sound overzealous but even at a 2 lb loss a week, that's around 5 months from now =( Perhaps there's another form of cardio I could be doing that is more efficient at burning calories? Any helpful suggestions would be much appreciated.

Voting Question: Is it anything out there that works like Ephedrine? ?
I took it for a while and lost some weight but I am afraid to keep using it with all the side effects. I am a vegetarian so Alli will not help me. I desperately need to lose weight and get some energy. If I could just get a boost to send me on the right track that would be great. I have heard that Hydroxycut(sp) gives you energy and weight loss but is it really true? What are the brand name that you are talking about, hardcore hydroxycut, Thermogenic push, Abdominal Cuts. and where do I get it from.

Resolved Question: A question about Alli weight loss pills...?
I started taking Alli about amonth ago. For the first week or so, when I ate bad, I had the "treatment side effects" but here latley, I don't have any, even when I eat bad. Has anyone else had this happen? If so, does this mean it isn't working anhmore? Thanks, but I am not asking for dieting advice. I am asking about a specific pill. thanks it.

Resolved Question: how to lose excess baby weight?
I had my baby 5 months ago and have dropped my calorie intake but don't have time to exercise since I have 2 teaching jobs, the baby and a six year old and a husband. I need an effective diet pill to stimulate my weight loss, but don't know what to take. I used ephedra with my first baby (successfully) but now it's off the market. A friend mentioned one that's now medically approved (not alli) but I don't remember what she said...fentamine maybe? I need to lose 30 pounds. Which ones have worked for any of you?

Voting Question: has anyone tried alli? the new weight loss program and had any sucess? ?
does anyone know, when using alli, can you eat carbohydrates?

Resolved Question: Can the Alli pill be used along with Appetite suppressants for a more effective weight loss.?
Alli is FDA approved because it does not go into the bloodstream like other chemical diet pills. It absorbs most of the fat you eat and keeps it from being stored in the body. Your body eliminates the fat. Many people complain that it causes bowel accidents which is probably due to people continuing to eat enormous amount of fat and not changing their eating habits. My question is; Can a person use appetite suppressants along with Alli?

Voting Question: Haven't taken Orlistat/Alli/Xenical in over 1 year but still have "orange oil"?
Hi there! Anyone out there ever take Orlistat aka Alli aka Xenical? It helps weight loss by binding the fat you eat as it passes through your digestive tract. The excess fat usually comes out the anus as copious amounts of orange oil. I was so disgusted by this that I had to stop taking it! (I'm dying inside just writing this description. LOL) My friend stopped taking it while she was pregnant, but she still told me every once in a while, she'd get the "orange oil" for no reason. I didn't really believe her at first. I thought maybe she accidentally took one with her vitamins. But then it happened to me! I haven't taken Orlistat in over 1 year, and I've had about 3 or 4 "orange oil" incidents. Not just little ones either! I mean, it was as if I took a bunch of Orlistat and ate a plate of fried chicken the night before. Have any of you experienced this? Does anyone know why this happens? I seriously doubt I have pockets in my intestines holding capsules of Orlistat that get randomly released from time to time. LOL Anyway, after a year, how could anything survive the acidic intestinal environment?

Resolved Question: Does the weight loss drug Alli work without exercise?
I want to try the weight loss drug Alli, and I am eating under 1000 calories a day, which I know isn't healthy but I don't have the option to exercise because I am taking 18 credits and the gym at my university is being renovated. Will the Alli drug work for me?

Resolved Question: has anyone tried the FDA approved Diet drug Alli?
I was considering taking Alli to aid in weight loss and wanted to know if anyone has tried it and what their personal results were. And if there were any weird side effects to be aware of. Thanks in advance!

Resolved Question: Does Alli really work? Are there any weight loss supplements that do?!?!?!?
Had my baby last Nov., and I have about 15 more lbs. to lose...those last 15 have been a b**** to try to get rid of...I just wanted to know if there are any products out there to help for those last lbs. I think I hit a plateau...now what? Also, has anyone heard of Hoodia Prime? Doesn't hoodia just trick your mind into thinking that you're full? Comments on Zalestrim?, Hydroxycut Max!?, Fahrenheit?, Slimquick Extreme?....I need to hear from some real people, who have actually tried any products that showed significant results. I go to different websites for reviews and every one of them give a positive or negative...I know a lot of those sites are paid to say something is good or bad...that's why I really wanna hear from others who have actually tried weight loss products and experienced extreme results... The layman's terms were very funny on http://thewvsr.com/alli.htm, I guess I really need to do more research on some other products. I'm not looking for a "miracle pill" or "miracle diet", I'm just looking for a little boost....I've been stuck with these last lbs. for about a month with no change...I have no clue what else to do, other than continue to work out and eat a healthy diet.

Resolved Question: I'm 14 and want to use Alli (weight loss pill) What could happen if I take that?
I want to know exactly what could possibly happen. And yes, I have tried to stay on a diet and exercise but it just doesn't work for me. And I'm planning on getting it at Walgreens. When they say "over the counter" what does that mean too?

Resolved Question: Mother in law has sister in law's on medication prescribed by a dr. they don't see. What is she doing?
My mother in law has a friend who's a doctor. She hooks them up with forged physical papers, fake dental exams, prescriptions and all sorts of stuff. My sister in laws are on amoxicillin and Synthroid. I looked them both up. The Synthroid is for hypothyroidism. My sister in laws are both overweight headed for adult obesity. I don't think they're supposed to be on drugs for that, because the article I read said that that drug isn't to be used for weight loss. I wouldn't be surprised if my weight loss junky MIL is giving them her ALLI diet pills and Green Tea pills too! My one sister in law has Lupus and is on the amoxicillin. Last time I checked that's for bacterial infections... she's not sick... doesn't look or sound it.. and my husband said, "They're not sick, they're just on medication." I don't understand it... I would report this dr. writing them prescriptions.. but that would make my MIL very angry. She doesn't even take the kids to see the doctor.. she just calls and whatever she wants, the doctor prescribes.

Resolved Question: Is Alli a good weight loss pill? and Why?
Can anyone give me some good incite to how this medicine works? Are there any side affects? How long should you take it for? Can you really have an "accident"? Anything, please?

Resolved Question: anyone ever tried the weight loss drug "alli"?
i know i posted another question and i stated that i don't believe in fad diets, pills, or surgeries but ive wrestled back and forth in mind since last year as to whether or not alli is a good investment or not. ive researched it actually before it became available to the public, ive read the stories both on their website and others, and even talked to my brother who is a pharmacist and he says its a good deal with the exception of the loose stools everyone complains about. the company is forthcoming and tells you about this side effect if you don't eat correctly. has anyone here tried alli? have you had any success with it? side effects? good or bad for long term weight loss? please share any experience you or someone you know may have had.

Resolved Question: Has anyone tried the Alli weight loss plan and were you happy with it?
How strict is the plan diet-wise? I'm not looking for a quick fix, just a little extra help. Middle age can be so cruel.

Resolved Question: Do you have to eat fat in your food in order for the Alli weight loss pill to work?
Alli is suppose to block fat but it you are on a super low fat diet what will it be blocking and will it still work? STICK TO ALLI INFORMATION!!!!!! I ASKED ABOUT ALLI NOTHING ELSE!! I will report spammers

Resolved Question: Has anyone used the weight loss drug "Alli"?
I am looking to use Alli to help with my weight loss. I am currently at 220 5'4" tall and need to be at 130- 140 pounds as a safe and healthy weight range. I would like to lose it in about 5-6 months. Not only that but I have been so sick and tired of people making comments about my weight. And now my husband has started in too. He will pay later but for now I need to lose this weight. I am miserable. Please help!??

Resolved Question: weight loss regimen for female, bmi 40.1?
I am an 18 year old female with a bmi of 40.1 (5'6, 250lbs). I am happy with the way my body looks, however, today I learned that I am developing arthritis in my knees due to my weight and that really effing scares me. I am looking to lose around 80-90 lbs, still "overweight", but out of the danger zone. I am open to all reasonably affordable suggestions, but I am not looking to be b**ched out about my weight. most of the excess weight is in my stomach, but also in my thighs and a bit in my butt. I would like to do my best to keep the fat in my backside and breasts, but I understand this is probably somewhat unavoidable. thank you ahead of time! also, at the moment, I cannot put tons of money into this. a gym or group membership, a book, a dvd, vitamins, acupuncture, etc are within reason, but options like surgery and pills like alli and others are a bit out of my range.

Voting Question: I am desperate and need losing weight help. I am currently on the Alli plan, I lost some weight, but my meds?
interfere with my weight loss. I eat healthy and I don't have treatments on the plan. I lost weight the first month but, last week I put all but 4 lbs back on. I take Cymbalta, Elavil, Eterdiol, Lisonpril, Neurontin, Enablex, Amirex, magnesium, Malic Acid and Multi-Vitamins. I have limitations to exercising. I have neck, back, wrist and knew injuries.... along with Fibromalgia. I desperately need help... I am so frustrated I am crying and ashamed to get dressed because everything I own is too small now.

Resolved Question: Does Alli weight loss capsules work?

Resolved Question: Help! Need suggestions on how to break a plateau with South Beach? Also- ALLI ?
I have a 50 lb weight loss goal. I started dieting in general on Sept. 6, around Sept 18ish I started the South Beach Diet. Since beginning dieting I have lost around 12.5 lbs. So I still have some ways to go. Over the last full week, I have lost nothing. I fear I have hit a plateau. I need suggestions on how to break this, and start losing weight? This diet was working so well that most of last week, I had a cheese stick for breakfast and 1 or sometimes 2 for lunch. I wasn't hungry so I wasn't eating. Someone told me that will kick my body into starvation mode and make me stop losing fat and start storing it, which is why I have not lost anything this past 7-9 days. I am now back to eating per the first 2 weeks of the South Beach diet, and I do feel myself getting hungry again around lunch, so I am assuming that's a good thing? I exercise 3 times a week, swimming. And I keep a diet log. Things have been going well but I am concerned over this past week that I have not lost 3 pounds like I have been losing every week prior. I fear I am in a plateau. This is the farthest I've ever gotten with any diet in the last 5 years, and I feel I can hit my goals, I just am not sure how to break the plateau. I have been thinking about adding ALLI to my diet plan, any thoughts on that pill?

Voting Question: Is anyone on the alli diet? ?
How is it working for you? What do find to be the most hard thing about it... changing what you eat? exercising more often? has it really help for weight loss?
